FAQ
How do I turn my FlightScope X3C on or off?
To power ON: Press and hold the power button until a beep is heard and the interface lights up. Open the leg by lifting the bottom edge—feet will extend automatically. Once fully extended, place the unit in its intended position. The X3C will auto-level according to the surface.
To power OFF: Lift the device and fold the leg back to its closed position—the feet will retract automatically. Press and hold the power button until a beep is heard.
Caution: Keep fingers clear while retracting.
Note: Shutdown may take up to 30 seconds.
What is the Annual Support Agreement?

How do I update the X3C firmware?
Firmware updates are downloaded automatically. To ensure your device is up to date:
- Close any open FlightScope apps.
- Connect your iPad or PC to the internet (not to the radar).
- Open your FlightScope app.
- If an update is available, it will download automatically in less than a minute.
- After download, connect your device to the X3C to complete installation.
Can I connect the X3C to third-party software?
No. Only approved systems integrators or partners with FlightScope integration access can connect to the X3C.
How do I set up the FlightScope X3C indoors?
Distance Requirements:
- Short Indoor Mode: Tee to sensor = 8 ft; at least 8 ft of ball flight.
- Indoor Mode: Tee to sensor = 11 ft; at least 13 ft of ball flight.
Environmental Requirements:
- Keep a clear line of sight between the tee and the sensor.
- Avoid fluorescent lights; use incandescent, halogen, or sodium lights.
- If using fluorescent lights, diffuse them using aluminum insect screens (available at hardware stores).
Do I need metal stickers or RCT balls for indoor use?
Yes. For short indoor setups, attach a metal sticker to each ball (facing the screen). Alternatively, use Titleist RCT balls for accurate spin measurement without stickers.
What is Fusion Tracking?
Fusion Tracking is FlightScope’s patented system that merges 3D Doppler radar tracking with high-speed image processing, delivering unmatched shot accuracy and consistency.
Does the X3C include Face Impact Location?
Yes, the X3C includes Face Impact Location by default—no extra purchase required.
What is the password for the X3C WiFi hotspot?
The WiFi password matches your serial number. For example, if your serial number is X3C-01111, the password is also X3C-01111. Ensure that the “X” and “C” are uppercase, include the dash, and use no spaces.
Are there lighting requirements for Face Impact Location?
Yes. The Advanced Fusion Tracking system requires at least 300 lux of light within a 3-foot (0.9 m) radius of the hitting area. For best accuracy, use lighting above 300 lux and verify using a lux meter.
How should I store my FlightScope X3C battery?
To preserve your battery during long-term storage:
- Clean and dry the unit before storing.
- Fully charge the battery before storage.
- Store indoors in its case, pouch, or backpack.
- Maintain temperatures between 60°F–70°F (15°C–21°C).
- Recharge every 2–3 months to prevent deep discharge.
- Before use, fully recharge the unit again.

This policy is subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale applying to the online sale of all Products (as defined) of FlightScope Golf LLC (FlightScope) to any customer (the Customer) on the flightscope.com website (the Site).

Products purchased from other authorized distributors and resellers and not from the Site may have different return policies and procedures.

FlightScope reserves the right to modify the return policy at any time without notice. Any such changes will apply to all new orders.

Returns
Customer may return the Product after delivery in accordance with this Return Policy as follows:

To qualify for a refund, Products must be returned within 30 days of delivery. However, Mevo+ Products purchased on a promotional discount on or after September 15, 2025, must be returned within 7 days of delivery.

Sales of software licenses and service subscriptions are non-returnable and non-refundable. This differs from our return policy for physical products.

Before returning the Product, Customer must contact FlightScope Support at customercare@flightscope.com to obtain a return authorization number.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. For those eligible for returns within the USA, FlightScope may provide return shipping labels, subject to the cost of return shipping, along with any additional fees, being deducted from the refund amount.

FlightScope will refund the order amount and, if applicable, the shipping costs paid on your behalf for original FlightScope products. However, returns of third-party simulator items are subject to a 3% credit card transaction fee, which will be withheld from the refund.

Customer must return the Product in the same condition as on the date of purchase, undamaged and unused, in its original packaging, including all accessories and printed materials. FlightScope reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee or refuse to refund a Product that has not been returned in this condition.

Should a refund request be denied for a valid reason the Product will be returned to Customer as received at Customer’s cost.

FlightScope will process refund claims without unreasonable delay. Refunds will not be paid if the returned items have not been received by FlightScope. Customer acknowledges and agrees that processing of a refund claim involves the physical return of the Product, the assessment of the returned Product, administrative steps, and banking transactions, which will take some time to complete.
